KABIR DHAM (Web Desk) – Two including a bridegroom died as a bomb, planted by a man in a gift at the bride and his ex-girlfriend’s wedding booth, exploded in the Indian city of Kabirdham.
Indian media reported that the accused, identified as Sarju Markam, placed a bomb inside a gift of a sound system and put it in the wedding booth. It exploded and resulted in the death of the bridegroom and his brother which prompted the police to arrest the accused immediately.
Markam was disappointed and decided to take revenge as his ex-girlfriend had ended her relationship with him.
The police said that Markam was already married with two kids. He tried to stop her from marrying another person a day before the wedding and said she would not enjoy her life afterward. He later phoned the girl's fiance and threatened him too but the fiance resolved the matter peacefully. However, Markam planned to take revenge and started preparations for making a bomb using the skills he had acquired while working at a stone-crushing unit and at an electric store as well.
Then he travelled to the wedding venue with his friend to place the bomb. He placed it and fled. As the bomb exploded, it also took the house's roof with it as the bride, as per customs, was at her house. She was about to leave for his in-laws' house in a few days.
